Aaron and Sarah

Lissaundra's lifeless body lay in the center of a circle of runes drawn into the ground while her lifeforce hovered above, a strange, barely visable haze. Her twin brother continued chanting, trying to pull her spirit back into her body where it belonged. The runes flared with light and the wind picked up considerably.

Not far away, Aaron bend over the young girl, Sarah, meaning to shelter her from the harsh wind. As he was moved forward, the runes flared even brighter. Lissaundra's spirit was thrust back into its body. As this happened the energy being used backfired in a violent explosion. Sarah was sent flying backward into Aaron's chest, in who was in turn sent hurtling backward into the air.
